The day started with visits at the Chazen Museum of Art and Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, continued with a talk with John Baldacchino from the Arts Institute in Madison and a meeting with David L. Newell who is the director of exhibitions and outreach at the Ruth Davis Design Gallery, Centre for Design and Material Culture at the School of Human Ecology, University of Wisconsin. David kindly showed me the gallery space and made a part of the beautiful “Helen Louise Allen” textile collection accessible to me.
The George L. Mosse Humanities Building got my attention and stimulated my curiosity; I explored the gallery and the spaces of the Art Department of the University of Wisconsin and found interesting and potential exhibition spots of the building.
